1968 Formula 400 Firebird
This 1968 Formula 400 firebird was purchased as a father son project. The car was partially disassembled and sand blasted in the driveway. A few years later the son graduated from high school and joined the Marine Corps. The father sent the car to a friend who owned a body shop to finish the car. Two years later the car was even more disassembled and major component parts were missing. The father decided to pull the car and have our shop complete the project.
The engine and transmission were pulled and the car was dustless blasted including the engine bay. The driver’s rear quarter sail panel was cut out and replaced. The front fenders, cowl, splash aprons, hood, and doors were removed and realigned due to a previous accident on the driver’s side.
Some of the parts missing were acquired on a nationwide search coming as far away as Delaware and Arizona.
The car was painted black with four additional coats of clear. It was then color sanded and polished to a mirror finish. New complete interior was installed.
The following upgrades were installed, HEI, RAM AIR, 700R 4sp transmission, Bluetooth stereo, led dash lighting, electric choke, Electric radiator fan.
