1969 Chevelle SS
This 1969 Chevelle Malibu was originally a small block car. The previous owner sold the small block and purchased a big block 454 and turbo 400 automatic out of a 1978 Chevy pickup. The drivers floor pan was replaced, the front clip was removed, doors were removed, interior was removed, and sail panels were purchased for both rear quarters. The big block engine and transmission were set in place, but not mounted. Two years later the owner realized it was a bigger project then he had anticipated and the car was sold.
The new owners decided to keep the big block 454 and the 400 transmission. The vision is for a big block SS tribute car.
The drivetrain was removed, suspension and frame prepped for paint.
The frame and suspension was undercoated. Brakes were rebuilt. The engine and transmission were resealed and detailed. The engine and transmission were installed. Headers and dual exhaust were installed.
Once painted the car was color sanded and additional upgrades were made to the car to include-700r4 4spd transmission, posi, tilt wheel, tmi bucket seats, and lots of billet aluminum under the hood.
